  New Pirana release upcoming...

We are happy to announce that a next version of Pirana is on the horizon. This version features many improvements over 2.4.1. To give you a sneak preview of what is to come, please view the (draft) release notes for 2.5.0 below. Note that many small additional improvements were made as well, mostly in response to comments and suggestions from our hundreds of active users. We expect to release Pirana within the next two weeks!

General functionality:
  • improved translation functionality: translate any ADVAN model to ADVAN6 / R / Matlab / PopED / Berkeley Madonna
  • added translators for NONMEM: mu-parametrization, difference equations.
  • efficiency / speed improvement when working with cluster connections
  • ssh-timeout implemented for cluster connections
  • added support for Torque cluster
  • added batch function: search and replace in models
  • added quick viewer for covariance / correlation matrices, also option to simulate from covariance matrix in R
  • console window is now kept open after nmfe/psn run
  • added RSE values in parameter estimates window (compare multiple runs)
  • added functionality to compress complete project to zip-archive
  • added functionality to export models / results to zip-files
  • added option to export R code from DataInspector for base/lattice/ggplot2
  • added option to save notes for folders
  • auto-backup models / results (in pirana_backup folder)

GUI:
  • icon updates, improved look
  • parameter estimates directly available in main screen

  • flags can be added to runs in overview
  • drag and drop files onto Pirana (only on Windows)
  • quickly show error message or raw_results.csv for PsN folders using C-f / C-r. Added message in status bar.

 

  Pirana 2.4.1 released

We thought it would be nice to share the latest updates in Pirana just before the upcoming holidays. Therefore, we released now a new version 2.4.1. Although this version is a minor update, it packs a few nice new features:

  • Updated, more efficient GUI, e.g. hide models or filter by color
  • Added new R scripts to library (e.g. for npde, bootstrap plots)
  • New Quick Guides available for common Pirana functionality
  • Automatic backup of models and results
  • Updated PsN command list
We encourage all users of Pirana to update to this new version (Downloads)


 

  Pirana 2.4.0 released

It is our pleasure to announce the release of Pirana version 2.4.0. This major update packs many new features and improvements, such as:

  • Support for NONMEM version 7.2, e.g. parallelization functionality
  • Wizards, e.g. for NONMEM model files, PsN scm configuration files, parallelization files
  • A new interface for Xpose commands
  • Support for all PsN commands
  • More options to output results to different formats (HTML, CSV, LaTeX)
  • an improved GUI
  • ... and many more

  Close to release...

Just a few weeks more and Pirana 2.4.0 will be released! The new version includes a lot of new tools to improve your modeling workflow even further. New functionality includes support for NONMEM 7.2 (e.g. parallelization), the use of Wizards, support for RStudio and much more. A more complete list is already available in the version history.
